100 YEARS OF ‘JANA-GANA-MANA’ – Jai Ho!
Exactly 100 years ago, on December 27, 1911 our National Anthem(Rastra Gaan) was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress. “Jana Gana Mana” was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem on January 24, 1950.
“Jana Gana Mana” was penned down by the great Noble Laureate ‘Shri Rabindranath Tagore’. The interesting fact about “Jana Gana Mana” is the text, though Bengali, is highly sanskritized. Rabindranathji composed the music for it and translated it into English, known as the Morning Song Of India.
Long Live My INDIA 🙂
